Jewellery Cleaning Advice

Any jewellery made with precious metals will gain some kind of surface oxidisation which will alter the colour and brightness of the metals. Below is some simple advice on taking care of your jewellery:

  1. High polished jewellery should be cleaned with an anti-tarnish silver or gold polishing cloth.

  2. Matte jewellery can be cleaned with a green kitchen scourer and washing up liquid under running water, dry thoroughly to avoid water marks.

  3. All gems and pearls should be treated with an element of fragility.  Do not submerge them in cleaning solutions like silver dip.

Alternatively all Chloe Michell Jewellery can be sent back to me for refinishing and cleaning. This is a free service I provide but you are expected to pay postage costs where necessary.

If you would like other jewellery professionally cleaned prices will be supplied on request.
