As you have probably noticed I like a jewellery remodel. It’s my thing :) I love making rings too and when a client asks me to make a ring with their old gold I get all giddy !! Especially when it is wedding related, and this is why!

Firstly most of the gold I get asked to use has been inherited, it has a whole story with it and my clients want to bring new life to their gold and wear it again. I have made many wedding bands, engaement rings from mother, grandmothers and fathers heirloom jewellery. Nothing makes me happier than using that gold and making it into something new and shiny, which will be worn again and with love as the sentiment carries though.

As you may have seen in my Wedding ring blog, there are all sorts of things we can do with your gold in the terms of a wedding band. Many people are now choosing to have gemstones in their wedding rings from their old jewellery, some like the more traditional plan band. whatever it is i can make it for you.

I’ll take your gold, melt it down and turn it into a ring you’ll want to wear for ever. As this process is all done by myself, Chloe Michell, Cornish goldsmith, you can have pretty much what you would like. Do you want it to fit around an engaement ring, do you want some engraving on the inside. However, there are a few limitations on design as i can only do what my tools allow, so I currently make 3 different types of ring profiles round, D or flat. We can do a whole range of things within those limitations though so don’t worry!
